Design and reconstruction of the infrastructure of Tallinn tram line No. 4

Construction Period: January 2014 – November 2015

Construction Cost: 26 000 000 EUR _{^{(ex VAT)}}

Capacity Information: 

• Reconstruction of the tram lines and Pärnu road, on a concrete base, ca. 11km.
• Replacement of the catenary network from Tondi to Ülemiste and Kadriorg, ca. 30km.
• Reconstruction of six traction substations
• An extension of the tramway to Peterburi tee 2
• Building of the tramway return junction

Other Notes: 

The contractor was selected based on the public procurement organized by the customer (public procurement no. 12-13 RH/146293 “Infrastructure design and reconstruction of tram line no. 4”), where the joint bid of the consortium AS Merko Ehitus Eesti, KMG Inseneriehitus AS and Ratatek OY was recognized as successful. The lowest price was the evaluation criterion for the tenders.
