Last Friday marked the ceremonial opening of the new parallel track of the Airport Tram Line
The construction of this additional tram branch enables more trams to be directed at the airport and makes the turnaround operations at the terminal stop more flexible.
The contract addressed tram parking and maneuvering issues.
The works included:
- construction of a new parallel tram track on a fiber-reinforced concrete base,
- installation of track drainage and a rail lubrication system to reduce noise,
- execution of contact network, electrical and low voltage works, as well as other utility network tasks,
- relocation of street furniture,
- construction of new pavement and roadway surfaces, and completion of road markings.
Our sincere thanks to the project team for the successful completion!
The construction works were carried out under Contract No. 5-1/7425-1, signed between AS Tallinna Linnatransport
and KMG Infra OÜ on April 11, 2025.
The total contract value was €527,565 (excluding VAT).
